Kona Papaya Softboard
We love our mid-lengths for several reasons, primarily because of their ease of use and wave-catching ability. The Papaya is the midlength that gives both in buckets. It's a super easy board to ride, catching most waves you paddle for.
The low-nose entry rocker makes for even easier paddling and trimming down the line. This feature, combined with the added volume of a middie, ramps up the fun levels and keeps you paddling out throughout summer despite the conditions. It has a single concave bottom with a pulled-in squash tail that allows the rider to surf off the tail, which is what you want on the mid-length and not off the rail as much.
It also features a wider nose than your regular fun board, allowing you to ride the nose should you be that surfer. The Summertime model is great for all conditions, from those smaller summer days to overhead surf. While the standard mid-length is recognised these days as a board to surf when the conditions are average, they also have what it takes to get into and out of bigger waves. A mid-length offers more paddle power and plenty of rail, and provides a healthy dose of confidence when looking over the edge. This board is a must-have board for your quiver!
