ORDERING
How do I place an order?
Placing an order on our website is quick and easy! Simply click on the item you like, select your size and color, and then click ‘Add to Cart.’ From there, you can continue shopping or head straight to checkout by clicking on your cart and selecting the checkout button. At checkout, just enter your billing and shipping address, choose your preferred delivery option, and submit your order. You’ll receive a confirmation email letting you know we’ve received it, and most orders are fulfilled the next business day.
What payment options do you take?
We accept all major credit card companies, as well as PayPal, Apple Pay, and Venmo.
Why isn't my gift card working online?
We offer two types of gift cards: physical cards and electronic e-gift cards. At this time, only e-gift cards can be used for online purchases. If you have a physical gift card and would like to transfer it to an e-gift card, please give us a call at (866) 858-5864 or email us at info@konasurfco.com and we'll be happy to help!
How do I order a custom board?
To order a custom surfboard, head to the 'Build a Custom' tab on our homepage. Select your desired model to open the board builder, where you can view options and fill in more details. On that page, you’ll also find our Custom Surfboard Order Form—please download and complete the form. Once filled out, you can hand it in at one of our shops or email the PDF to customsurfboards@konasurfco.com. Please note that custom orders take about 4–6 weeks to complete so we can ensure your board is crafted to the highest quality. For extra guidance in choosing the best board for you, check out our Volume Chart under the 'Extras' section or watch the board review videos available under each surfboard model.
How do I find out more info on a specific product?
Each product on our website includes a description and detailed information to help you learn more about the item. If you still can’t find the answer you’re looking for, feel free to reach out by emailing us at info@konasurfco.com or using the live chat feature on our website, located at the bottom right-hand corner. We will get back to you as soon as possible.
SHIPPING, RETURNS, EXCHANGES
What is Kona's return policy?
Our 60 day return policy is great! Just make sure we can resell your return as brand new and we will gladly give you a full refund. During the return process you may request to receive a refund, replacement, or exchange. Please check our 'Returns' page for more information.
How do I return an item?
Before returning product(s) you may want to contact our customer service to expedite the process. If you think your product may be defective, you may request a return authorization label or email us some photos of the damaged area to info@konasurfco.com. One of our return specialists will examine the product and give their analysis on what to do next. Before you slap labels on boxes, remember not to tape or label the manufacturer packaging. Please go to our 'Returns' page to fill out a return form.
How do I qualify for free shipping?
You can receive free shipping by spending $75 or more on your order. Please note this excludes oversized items. For details on what qualifies as oversized, check out our Shipping page.
What items are considered oversized?
Items that are considered oversized include skateboards, bodyboards, oversized bodyboards, 4’4” and 5’5” mini softboards, surfboards ranging from 5’6” to 8’6”, and any surfboards over 8’6” as well as SUPs over 9’. Oversized items have special shipping rates, which you can find on our Shipping page.
