Description
The Papaya is one of those boards you can pretty much just grab and go surf. It has that classic egg style mid length shape, plenty of glide, and gets into waves really easy.
The wide point sits a little forward with a fuller nose and low entry rocker, so it paddles fast and carries speed without feeling like a big soft top. There is a little extra kick in the tail, single concave through the bottom, and a pulled in rounded tail, so it still feels smooth and easy when you put it into a turn.
It is a true single fin, which is where a lot of the fun comes from. Trim it, cruise it, move around on it, or just let it run. It has that laid back longboard feel, just in a smaller mid length package.
The other thing we like about the Papaya is that it does not feel like one of those thick, clunky soft tops. It is foiled more like one of our regular surfboards, so it actually feels good under your feet and surfs the way you want it to.
Built with a lightweight EPS core, epoxy lamination, and a cushy IXPE soft deck.
