Description
The Plantain is our best selling shape and probably the best all around board in the lineup. It is one of those boards that just makes surfing easy. It has a little extra foam, paddles well, gets into waves early, and feels stable without feeling oversized or bulky.
The fuller outline and rounded nose make it a great choice for beginners, but it also works for anyone looking for an easy, fun board with plenty of glide and stability. The rails are a little more foiled compared to your average soft top, so they feel cleaner and more responsive without that chunky soft top feel.
That is what we like about the Plantain. It works great for someone learning, but it is not a board you are going to outgrow right away. Cruise it, catch little peelers, surf some shorebreak, or just keep it around for those fun summer days.
Built with an EPS core, epoxy lamination, and a soft 4mm IXPE deck, it is forgiving, durable, and ready for a lot of time in the water.
