The Spun Honey is a refined high-performance groveller developed by Dan Mann for Kevin Schulz and inspired by the popular Spitfire platform. Designed specifically for fast, shifting beach breaks and everyday surf, the board blends proven DNA from the Spitfire with modern updates aimed at progressive surfing in weaker conditions.
Outline:A refined high-performance groveler outline inspired by the Spitfire platform. It has a slightly pulled-in wide point and a narrower tail block than something like a Sweet Potato, making it more performance focused while still working in weaker surf.
Rocker:More rocker through the rail line compared to the Sweet Potato outline. That helps the board fit into faster, shifting beach breaks and allows tighter, more controlled turns.
Bottom Contours:Deep double concave flowing into a subtle single concave. This creates lift, speed, and forward projection while keeping the board responsive rail to rail.
Tail:The diamond tail gives the board snappy pivot, added lift, and smooth release through quick turns and transitions.
